Job Description

We are looking for an experienced technical editor and writer with a mixed skill set. You will be both editing technical content and adapting existing content for different audiences, through a variety of channels.  You will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects for B9lab and our clients. It is a fast paced and supportive environment covering rapidly changing, advanced technologies.

Job Requirements

A bachelor's degree in journalism, English, applied science, mathematics, engineering, or another related field.
Comfortable working collaboratively in G suite and github/gitlab
Superior writing, editing, proofreading, and page composition skills
Proven experience as a technical writer and in working with a variety of style guides.
Ability to adhere to deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritisation
Strong attention to detail
Knowledge of the software development process

Job preferences:

Knowledge of technical concepts in blockchain and distributed ledger technologies
Experience with web coding and authoring systems, such as HTML or XML.
Experience working with development to improve user experience: design, UI, and help refine content and outline visuals and diagrams for the design team to implement

Job Responsibilities

Working with the educational content team, services, marketing, and development to ensure document accuracy.
Reviewing written technical content for clarity, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style.
Collaborating to make any necessary corrections to technical documents.
Creating style guides, and tone and voice guides.
Giving constructive feedback and advice to the educational content team.
Developing, communicating, and adhering to goals for content, workflow, and aim of writing.
Codifying company standards and ensuring that all written content meets them.
Creating templates for content writers that are easy to apply and adapt.
Conforming to strict security clearance protocols.
