Volume delivers software tools and user experiences that increase protocol token utility and community engagement, measured by protocol transaction volume growth. The Volume team’s interests are the protocol interests: Growth of user transactions.

Volume successfully launched Sommelier’s first iteration as PeggyJV, bringing the Cosmos Ethereum bridge to market and resulted in Sommelier raising a total $25MM in funding to launch the first automated DeFi blockchain to manage Liquidity Provider capital on Ethereum via the Cosmos. Sommelier consists of the Cosmos Stargate SDK, its Tendermint-based consensus layer and a decentralized, bi-directional Ethereum bridge, managed by a global network of validators. Liquidity Providers (LPs) will be able to use Sommelier to author and execute complex, automated financial transactions, such as portfolio rebalancing, limit orders, as well as a host of other features that token holders have come to expect from centralized finance (CeFi), but that are not currently available in DeFi.

Our investors include Polychain Capital, Alameda Ventures, Standard Crypto and Multicoin.

We are looking for a DeFi Partnerships Manager that can plan, manage, oversee and execute our customer acquisition strategy by establishing key relationships with top blockchain teams worldwide. The ideal DeFi Partnerships Manager for this role will have account management and business development experience, as we are looking for someone that can engage with DeFi communities and showcase expert knowledge using DeFi in a multi-chain environment.

Skills:

Job Requirements

  • Strong background in account management, sales, or business development and alliance experience in Crypto or in other tech-driven businesses
  • An expert understanding of the DeFi landscape and trends in data and technology
  • Genuine interest in the blockchain industry and understanding of the ecosystem
  • Excellent presentation abilities and high degree of composure when presenting to all levels of technical and business audiences
  • High EQ and demonstrated experience engaging with and expanding business partnerships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A self-starter mentality, able to work independently, and proactively to resolve issues
  • Must thrive in an environment of rapid change, moving targets, and high intensity

Job Responsibilities

  • Create and execute BD strategy and set objectives to achieve worldwide scale
  • Architect and implement sales processes for onboarding top blockchain teams to work with our Clients
  • Research DeFi project needs, develop a comprehensive list of potential partners and pitch those providers on our Clients
  • Reach out on a lot of projects and become an engaged member of their community
  • Work with our marketing and tech team to close deals
  • Build and manage key relationships with customers and partners
  • Attend industry events
